The Akron Zoo is largely funded by county taxes and donations, making the Annual Fund direct mailer an important fundraising piece for this non-profit organization. Each year, the theme for the piece was picked by the zoo, and we brainstormed to create concepts to support that theme. Conservative budgets for design, mailing and printing were challenges that we took in stride in producing this project. Shown are the final mailers for two different years - one with focus on conservation and the other on animal care. Being noticed in the mail and “tugging at the heartstrings” of the potential donors was always a focus. I am proud to say these pieces have been instrumental in helping the zoo reach their fundraising goals each year.
