AKRON MARATHON

2014 CAMPAIGN

“Run the Blue Line.”

“Why come to Akron to run a marathon?”

These were the main ideas on our mind as we researched and created concepts for this Akron Marathon campaign. The chosen idea was a very different approach for the Akron Marathon, but if the running shoe fits...

The campaign took on a very graphic and blocky look with simple, quirky line drawings combined with sarcastic text giving facts about Akron, inspiration for running or information about the race. The campaign look was very versatile and worked well for all pieces of the campaign: flyers, brochures, trade show display, print ads, goodie bags and – yes – even the runner's finisher metals.
